This is a casual one night easy winter camping trip near McCrae Lake. I want to establish a base camp about 1 km in (hence the easy part), then do a day hike on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.

Experience with winter backpacking is recommended. You will need a sleeping bag rated for minus 20 or colder, a closed cell foam plus inflatable mattress, proper winter clothing and a tent or tarp shelter. Food is independent
